Hello lovely followers,
Since a couple of you asked me on Instagram how Pollença was like, because they were going to go there this summer I decided i had to write a post about it. I went there after I visited Cap de Formentor which you can read about it in my previous posts.
Pollença is the perfect town that represents Mallorca. Pollença is located at the eastern end of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain and is tucked between two hills. It is the city of music and art and is known for its musicfestival in august and september. Pollença has a lot to offer such as the many little boutiques where they sell crafted goods such as jewellery and interior decorations. If you’re really into that you should definitely visit the market in Pollença every sunday morning from 8.30-13.00 pm. There is also a market in the port on Wednesdays.
Places to visit in Pollença:
The Plaça Major is the main square where you also find the 18th century Nostra Senyora Del Angels church. The other main church is also very beautiful and is called ‘the Convent de Sant Domingo. If you want to have a stunning view over the city and very sporty;). You must climb the Calvary by taking 365 stair treads. (One for each year). Also for the ones who love to work out, you have a big golf club.
Pollença also have a lovely large sand beach which lays a few kilometres away. What makes this beach even better is the many cafe’s and restaurants there. Where you can sit and relax after or during your beach day.
