Cuevas del Drach

Normally I’m not the type of person that goes straight to the tourist attractions but for the Cuevas del Drach, I made an exception! And I’m happy I did. The caves are very beautiful so I’m going to tell and show you my experience:)

First I’m going to tell you something about the Cuevas del Drach, which is located on Mallorca’s east coast. The tour takes around one hour and you’ll have to walk a 1,2 km path. You’ll have to walk right up to the caves, where you have to wait for the rest of the group to walk on your own through the caves. You can take your time and admire the beauty of nature. Because it takes about 100 years to grow them 1 centimeter:)

With the tour you’ll get a classical music concert and if you want a little boat trip across the Lake called ‘Martel’ after the men who discovered the caves. At first, I didn’t think a lot of the music concert but it turned out to be pretty impressive. Because all the lights will go out, and three little boats with musicians will come towards you can play beautiful music. After that you’ll watch the light effects of how it will look when the sunrises in the Caves. The stalactites that hang on the ceilings are really beautiful especially in the combination of the 25 metres deep and are really worth a look!
